Explore Your Future in Accounting with MassCPAs

MassCPAs is dedicated to guiding students toward a fulfilling career in accounting. Whether you're just starting to explore the profession or looking to build connections with industry leaders, we offer a wide range of programs designed to educate, inspire and support you every step of the way.

Accounting Opportunities Experience (AOE)

AOE is a transformative career awareness event held every November in collaboration with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and other state societies. High school students are introduced to the diverse career opportunities in accounting, with CPAs and accounting professionals sharing their journeys and insights. AOE aims to debunk common myths about accounting and ignite students' interest in this rewarding field. While most presentations occur during November, we encourage high school educators to reach out at any time to schedule a presentation! Contact Upasana Prasad for more information.

Is Accounting for Me? High School Conference (IAFM)

Our "Is Accounting for Me?" conference gives high school students the chance to experience a day at a university while exploring the accounting profession. The event features hands-on activities, engaging panel discussions with real-world accounting professionals and valuable insights from university accounting departments. Students also benefit from MassCPAs' free student membership, access to networking opportunities, and travel reimbursements. See our upcoming IAFM conferences on the Student Events page

Accounting Career Exploratory and Career Readiness Program (ACE)

A.C.E. is a summer program designed for high school students, offering them an immersive introduction to accounting. Through firm engagements, skill-building workshops, and social events, students gain a deeper understanding of the profession. The program runs at the end of July and is hosted at Suffolk University. Watch this video to learn more about ACE.  Applications for Summer 2025 are now open and can be found here.

Mentor Match

The Mentor Match program connects accounting professionals with college students to provide mentorship, industry insights, and professional growth. The program pairs students with mentors each fall, focusing on goal setting, building professional relationships, and navigating the early stages of their accounting careers. Stay tuned for the application form for the Fall 2025- Fall 2026 cohort!

Student Ambassadors

Our Student Ambassador Program provides both high school and college students with an opportunity to represent MassCPAs, build their professional networks, and gain valuable experience in leadership and event coordination. Ambassadors actively engage in a variety of activities, including promoting MassCPAs programs and hosting one on-campus event per year. High school student ambassadors are recruited from ACE alumni, and college student ambassador applications open late summer.
