To help grow the accounting pipeline and build a diverse talent pool, the MSCPA Educational Foundation's Scholarship Program provides funding to students pursuing accounting degrees in Massachusetts. Your donation to the Foundation has a direct impact on their lives. Read their stories below:
“I'm currently a rising junior at Babson College, and I am on track to fulfill all of my CPA requirements by the end of my four years at Babson. I am incredibly grateful for the MSCPA Scholarship and the generous donations contributing to my education. Not only has it lessened my financial worries for next semester, but it has also helped bring me one step closer to achieving my CPA, my biggest academic and career goal.”
- Erica Chin, Babson College
“I am a graduate of the College of Management at Umass Boston with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and Finance. I have received scholarships from the MSCPA for the past two years that have eased my financial burden and allowed me to focus on my academics and career opportunities. I am a first-generation college student, and given this opportunity to attend college, I intend on making my mother and family proud. My internship experience, coupled with the tremendous support I have received from the MSCPA, has helped me a great deal in achieving my academic goals and in preparing me on my career path to becoming a CPA.”
- Patrick Lewis, UMass Boston
“I received my MSCPA scholarship in the spring of 2018, when I was completing my junior year at Suffolk University. I was financially responsible for my undergraduate education, therefore, finding funding for my education was always a hardship. The MSCPA scholarship allowed me to put my mind at ease going into my senior year of my undergraduate studies. I could not be more grateful and appreciate for the peace of mind the MSCPA provided me in order to continue my path of becoming a CPA!”
- Kaitlin Morrill, Suffolk University
“I am currently working towards finishing my final year of undergraduate studies and, upon completion, will begin the MS in Accounting at the Isenberg School of Management while studying for the CPA Exam. Receiving this scholarship has allowed me to reduce the financial burden that I am facing towards financing my master’s year and reduce the stress associated with financial worries. I am so grateful to the donors who believe in and support the next generation of accountants; their generosity has allowed me to realize aspirations that I had once believed would remain dreams!”
- Cassie Raffi, UMass Amherst
“Thank you to all my donors for helping to grant me the MSCPA’s Women in Accounting Scholarship. This truly means a lot to me, as I migrated to the states to receive a proper education and succeed in accounting. Getting the CPA is an ultimate dream of mine, and I am really grateful for people out there like you who are helping my dreams become a reality. I will take the CPA Exam in 2021, and thanks to your support, I am motivated to keep pushing and pass it all. Thank you for helping students like me succeed and for paving a successful future for us. My family is extremely proud and thankful as well for this accomplishment.”
- Hilary Yeboah, Bentley University
