  1. The best advice you ever got: Don’t stop learning.
  2. Your three goals for the year: Gain more knowledge and experience to widen my Business Valuation skills. Get involved with the Latino community in Boston. Train and run a 5k. 
  3. If you weren’t doing this… I’d be teaching. An academic career would be very rewarding.
  4. Your favorite blogs/social media accounts you follow: Fore Play by Barstool Sports and any golf instructor with an Instagram account.
  5. What you do when you’re not at work: Golfing. Because I am one round away from getting better.
  6. Hometown? Aibonito, Puerto Rico. I moved to the Greater Boston Area in Spring 2018. Aibonito is know for its flowers and cold weather. The record low is 38 degrees. 
  7. Where did you go to college? Undergraduate: University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez, Graduate: University of Wisconsin – Wisconsin School of Business
  8. What was the last song you listened to? Never Surrender by Corey Hart. I’ve been listening to the Stranger Things soundtrack non-stop. I’m an 80’s kid.
  9. What was the last book you read? The Reckoning: Financial Accountability and the Rise and Fall of Nations. It shows how the level of transparency in financial bookkeeping has determined the fate of societies throughout history.
  10. What was the last TV show you watched? Stranger Things - Season 3
  11. Where is your favorite place to vacation? Rincon, Puerto Rico…beautiful sunsets and beautiful beaches.
  12. What’s your favorite quote? “All you need is love…love is all you need.”
  13. What was your first job? I did bookkeeping after school at my father’s practice when I was in high school. 
  14. What’s your favorite food? Rice and beans with fried plantains.
  15. What is your favorite benefit the MSCPA offers? Getting involved with the committees has helped me meet experienced professionals in the Boston area. Coming from a different environment, the MSCPA has connected me with a network of peers and mentors in a very short period of time. 
  16. What organizations do you like to give back to/volunteer for? Association of Latino Professionals For America. I’d been involved since grad school. I’d like to take on a leadership role. 
  17. What about accounting excites you the most? I believe we can define a business, a state or a country by how well its accounts are kept and how well they are presented. Financial statements are about storytelling.
