  1. The best advice I ever got: This is a tough one as I’ve received a lot of advice from some amazing people. The first thing that comes to mind is: “Be the river and not the pond. Learn to go with the flow and continue on your path instead of stagnant and constantly rained on.”
  2. My three goals for 2018/2019: Easy! Find a way, each day, to make someone else’s day better, never go to bed upset, and to read more.
  3. If I weren’t doing this, I’d… be traveling the world finding the best golf courses and ski mountains.
  4. My favorite blogs/social media accounts I follow: My daily favorite blog is called the Morning Brew. It’s full of fun market and investment summaries that help me in my day-to-day life. If you haven’t checked it out I certainly recommend it!
  5. What I do when I’m not at work: Spend time golfing, playing tennis, skiing, and visiting family and friends.
  6. Hometown? Rochester, NH
  7. Where did you go to college? Lasell College
  8. Who would you want to play you in a movie some day? This is a tough one… I guess I’d have to say Ryan Gosling – I mean, the ladies love him so why not?!
  9. What’s your favorite color? Blue
  10. What was the last song you listened to? Nice for What by Drake.
  11. What was the last book you read? Tribe of Mentors by Timothy Ferris – this is a must read by anyone who wants to add some tips and tricks to their repertoire.
  12. What was the last TV show you watched? This is Us – don’t watch if you’re embarrassed to tear up in front of your girlfriend (and her roommates).
  13. What was the last movie you saw? Wolf of Wall Street – perfect to fire you up before busy season.
  14. Do you have any pets? What are their names? No pets but definitely want a dog when I have the time for one!
  15. Where is your favorite place to vacation? Anywhere nice enough to play golf in warm weather after busy season!
  16. What’s your favorite quote? “Successful people do the things that unsuccessful people don’t” – raw, true, and simple; can’t ask for anything more.
  17. Who would you most like to have dinner with someday? Tom Brady… that’s an easy one.
  18. What is your favorite benefit the MSCPA offers? In addition to their incredibly friendly and helpful staff, the MSCPA is great because they actively provide platforms for you to communicate with your peer community. Whether it’s the HUB, the Fitness Challenge, Friday at Five, or the myriad of CPE opportunities they provide, you’re always afforded opportunities to connect with your community – should you choose to take advantage of it.
  19. What organizations do you like to give back to/volunteer for? I’m a very active member in both the NHSCPA and the MSCPA and love dedicating my time to helping promote the next level of young leaders. Whether it’s the high school level, collegiate level, or individuals new to the profession there is always a way to help out and volunteer to get them through their tough times.
  20. What about accounting excites you the most? Change and the challenges that public accounting bring you. Being successful in this industry means that you’re FORCED to change via new pronouncements, regulations, industries, and clients so it forces you to be creative on a daily basis! If you’re staying the same you’re falling behind.
