- How did you meet? We both worked at AAFCPAs back in the early 2000s and got promoted together during the four years we both worked there.
- Where did you go on your first date? T: Hard to pin down the exact first date, if I had to guess I’d say seeing Fever Pitch at the movie theater in Fenway. K: Yes, there had been dinners at places like Sunset Grill in Allston but the movie date was the first where other friends/coworkers weren’t invited.
- Where did you go on your honeymoon? Aruba
- Do you have any kids? Yes, two girls, Caitlyn (10) and Marian (8)
- Tell us about the proposal! T: I tied the engagement ring around the collar of our cat and as per usual, Stewie jumped up on Kacey when she got home from work and she noticed it (and thankfully said yes!)! K: He caught me by surprise, at first, I was confused that our male cat had a new sparkly collar, but I figured it out quickly and said yes when he proposed!
- The best advice you ever got: T: Find a career that you enjoy and that is lucrative, and you won’t work a day in your life. K: Everything in moderation, including moderation
- If you weren’t doing this… T: Being a social studies teacher would be very rewarding. K: Book editor or Librarian
- What you do when you’re not at work: T: Spend time with my girls and Kacey. K: Family time, attending kids sporting events, reading, swimming, basketball.
- Hometown? T: Maynard, MA. K: Ridgefield, NJ.
- Where did you go to college? T: UMass Amherst. K: Boston College.
- Who would you want to play you in a movie some day? T: Kevin James. K: Tina Fey.
- What’s your favorite color? T: Green. K: Violet.
- What was the last song you listened to? T: “Odds Are” by Barenaked Ladies. K: "You & Me" by Dave Matthews Band
- What was the last book you read? T: “The Long Walk” by Stephen King. K: The Old Man’s War series by John Scalzi
- What was the last TV show you watched? Saved by the Bell (we are introducing our girls to the show)
- What was the last movie you saw? Troop Zero
- Do you have any pets? What are their names? Two kittens: Julia and Willow.
- Where is your favorite place to vacation? We enjoy tropical vacations and would recommend Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, but having just returned from Riviera Maya, Mexico we’ve got a new favorite that we plan to go back to!

- What was your first job? T: Bagger at Star Market in Stow, MA. K: Summer Day-Camp Counselor in my hometown.
- What’s your favorite food? T: My mom’s macaroni and cheese. K: Chicken Francese.
- What’s your favorite restaurant? T: Grille 23. K: Sake.
- What word do you think you say the most every day? T: Please and thank you. K: Snack.
- What is your favorite benefit the MSCPA offers? T: Ongoing CPE and the ability to participate in committee meetings. K: The CPE offerings and email updates on accounting topics in the news to stay up to date.
- What organizations do you like to give back to/volunteer for? T: Future Chefs – they provide “life skills and knife skills” to youth in greater Boston. K: Girl Scouts of Eastern MA
- What about accounting excites you the most? T: The fact that I get to keep learning something new every day. K: Working at a private equity firm, I get a chance to analyze new investment opportunities in a variety of industries.
