MSCPA #MemberMonday - Kellyn Campbell, EY
November 19, 2018
Name: Kellyn Campbell
Title: Assurance Senior
Organization: EY
- The best advice I ever got: Don’t try to be anyone but yourself.
- My three goals for 2018/2019: Drink more water, listen more, and try something new, both at work and in my personal life.
- If I weren’t doing this, I’d…be an FBI agent
- My favorite blogs/social media accounts I follow: Anywhere I can read about the New England Patriots
- What I do when I’m not at work: Spend time with friends and family, play soccer, and visit new places
- Hometown? Wilmington, MA
- Where did you go to college? University of Richmond
- Who would you want to play you in a movie some day? ME! Is that an option?
- What’s your favorite color? Hot pink
- What was the last song you listened to? “My Shot” from Hamilton
- What was the last book you read? The Power by Naomi Alderman
- What was the last TV show you watched? “This is Us”
- What was the last movie you saw? “Hocus Pocus” (my Halloween favorite!)
- Do you have any pets? What are their names? (send pics!) No pets, sadly – maybe one day!
- Where is your favorite place to vacation? Anywhere with family and a beach (which usually means South Shore, MA!)
- What’s your favorite quote? “If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
- Who would you most like to have dinner with someday? Emma Watson
- What is your favorite benefit the MSCPA offers? Connecting with professionals from other firms – no one understands being an accountant like other accountants!
- What organizations do you like to give back to/volunteer for? Wonderfund, Mass Mentoring Partnership, and BUILD Greater Boston
- What about accounting excites you the most? I like rules and figuring out how those same rules (or in this case, accounting standards) apply in different situations
- What are you doing in November in Haverhill? I am going to be in a community theater production of “Sweeney Todd” with the Pentucket Players
- How did you find time to fit the Pentucket Players into your schedule? I have always had a passion for theater but thought enjoying from the audience was my only option after college. At EY, my co-workers and teams encouraged me to exercise my flexibility and so this year, I decided that meant getting back on stage! Come see the show at Haverhill City Hall, 11/16-18!
