Dear Elizabeth, In my short time as your President and CEO,
I’ve quickly learned about the extent of the Society’s diverse membership and the multitude of professional opportunities that exist for
CPAs. I’m happy to announce that we recently launched a new event series, Behind the Scenes, to showcase the diverse roles
members serve in a wide array of industries. In addition to providing an industry member with the opportunity to host a site visit
for other Society members, and present on what makes his/her company thrive, members also enjoy peer-to-peer
networking – all part of the Society’s effort to better serve our industry professionals.
On August 27th, we visited food manufacturing giant, Hans Kissle Company LLC, in
Haverhill. MSCPA members were treated to an exclusive tour of their 115,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art food preparation and packaging facility.
Afterwards, we listened as CFO Charles O’Donnell, CPA and CEO Kenneth Venti, CPA discussed the history of the company, challenges they face, and
decisions they’ve made within the last five years to ensure its growth and continued success. The attendees also engaged in a lively
question-and-answer period with Chuck and Ken. I had the opportunity to attend, and found it fascinating! View photos here.
The tour of Hans Kissle was the first in a series of Behind the Scenes events. Additional tours
will be happening soon, and I hope you will join us. Better still, if you are interested in hosting an event at your company, please contact Mona
McCarthy at monam@mscpaonline.org.
Have a great weekend.

CPAs Continue to Show Optimism About the Future of their Companies
CPAs' expectations for revenue, profit and hiring continue to rise, helping to push the CPA Outlook Index to its highest point since 2007. All nine
components in the index have risen by at least four points in the past year, reflecting improved outlooks across multiple industry sectors and
offsetting concerns about regulatory requirements.
