Dear Elizabeth:
Today is September 11, and before I go any further with this message, I would like to pay tribute
to the 2,753 innocent people who lost their lives 14 years ago. We will never forget the victims, or the courage of the first responders and
passengers on Flight 93 who gave their all to help our country on the worst day in our nation's history. With you, I grieve for the dead and salute
the heroes. This fall means a number of very exciting events at the Society. An event I am personally very
excited about is our second annual Emerging Leaders
Summit. Building on last year's
successful event, we crafted an agenda to inspire young professionals and provide practical advice on skills and behaviors to take your career to the
next level. We are excited to welcome Michelle Baca, whose company (Convergence Coaching) got rave reviews at last year's MAP Conference. At the
Summit, Michelle will address the essence of leadership and networking skills. These are precisely the skills young professionals need as they move
from managing themselves to managing others, and building important relationships with new and potential clients. Participants will also get a chance
to practice those skills at the networking reception at the end of the day.
Please mark your calendars to join us on
Friday, November 13 at the Sheraton Boston. Finally, to those of your who will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah
next week, I wish you a happy and healthy new year!
