Dear Elizabeth: One of my top priorities as your CEO is to help firms deal with one of their top priorities – recruiting and retaining top talent! Each
year, we host the MSCPA Fall Career Fair, a fantastic
opportunity for you to connect with approximately 200 accounting students seeking internships and entry-level positions. Professionals-in-transition
are also welcome to attend and graduate programs from throughout New England will also be in attendance.
This year’s Career Fair will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel
in Boston. Firms can register online now.
In 2014, students registered from more than 25 different
colleges in Massachusetts and neighboring states. This is your chance to meet exceptional prospective new hires you would not meet
otherwise. We've
received great feedback from this event. Read these testimonials:
"The MSCPA Fall Career Fair is a must-attend event for any CPA firm seeking the best of the best young hires in the industry.
Abrams Little-Gill Loberfeld PC attends the Fair annually. We are impressed with the caliber of qualified candidates available to us from several
universities as well as those we have taken on board as interns - often resulting in an offer of employment. We've scored every time." - Abrams
Little-Gill Loberfeld PC
“We were fortunate to meet candidates from schools that we do not have the time to visit during our fall visits. We look forward to
meeting more candidates next year!”- Johnson O'Connor Feron & Carucci, LLP
Hope to see you there! Amy A. Pitter President & CEO

Lessons from My Mentor's Death After the death
of one of his mentors, one law school dean was startled by the anger from the mentor's wife over how little she saw of her husband over the years.

Return Due Dates Changes in Highway Funding Bill
The short-term highway funding extension included several important tax changes. The bill modifies the due dates for several common
tax returns, overrules the Supreme Court’s Home Concrete decision, requires that additional information be reported on mortgage information
statements and requires consistent basis reporting between estates and beneficiaries.
