CEO Corner

Dear Hannah,
It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is already here, but the holiday season has officially begun. For the past eight years, Giving Tuesday has become a part of the spirit of giving this time of year, growing into a global movement of generosity.
This year’s Giving Tuesday, which takes place this coming Tuesday, December 1, is a great time to consider which nonprofits and charities you’d like to support. I’d like to ask you to think about future CPAs and our profession and consider donating to the MSCPA Educational Foundation’s Scholarship Program on Giving Tuesday.
While your firm or company may have already donated this year, your individual contribution is about your personal commitment to the profession. Will you help us support these future CPAs and improve the industry’s pipeline?
You can make your contribution at mscpaonline.org/donate by selecting “Individual Contribution.” Or, feel free to contact Erica DeBiase at edebiase@mscpaonline.org or 617.303.2403. All donations are tax-deductible, and the deadline to give is December 31, 2020.
On behalf of the MSCPA, thank you for your continued support!
As always, the MSCPA is here to help you prepare for the upcoming tax season. We are bringing back Sue Smith, CPA, to host our Virtual Federal Tax Camps on December 9, 10 and 11. Sue will share her expertise and update us on the most important legislative and regulatory developments, as well as major trends and changes in the case law. Just choose the day that works best for you and join us for this full-day event.
Lastly, the MSCPA will be closed this Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. I wish all of you a safe and wonderful holiday!
Amy Pitter
MSCPA President/CEO
