CEO Corner

Dear INSERT_FIRST_NAME,

Earlier this week, Governor Baker signed the $4 billion ARPA bill into law, which officially makes forgiven 2021 Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and other federal loans and state-specific grants nontaxable in Massachusetts for all recipients. You can read the bill here. We are grateful to Governor Baker and the Legislature for their continued commitment to supporting MassCPAs’ members and the thousands of small business clients you represent.

A special thank you to our CPA Advocates for contacting your state legislators to support this important piece of legislation. Your advocacy has made a difference. To become a CPA Advocate and learn more about the program, click here

As December winds down, I also wanted to remind you of two important dates:
For details on how to apply for reimbursement through the state’s Workforce Training Express Fund, please click here or contact Julia Ekelund

Lastly, the Society will be closed Friday, December 24 through Friday, December 31. The next issue of Friday@Five will be Friday, January 7. On behalf of the team at MassCPAs, I wish you all wonderful holidays, and I look forward to working with you in 2022!
