CEO Corner

Dear Hannah,

This time next week, one of the toughest deadlines in accounting’s history will finally be behind us — just in time for the Society to kick off our fall CPE and event season.

We have spent the past few months figuring out how to offer not only the highest quality education, but also opportunities for the personal and professional growth you have come to expect from us in a virtual environment. The team will not let me tell you every surprise that we have in store, but I can guarantee some great ones — and some will be tasty!

Our not-to-be-missed virtual events this fall are our CPAs in Business Summit, Real Estate Conference, New England Practice Management (MAP) Conference, the Women’s Leadership Summit and, of course, Federal Tax Camp. We knew that the Women’s Leadership Summit and MAP Conference in particular could not simply be a static broadcast of speaker sessions. For MAP, in addition to exciting keynote speakers and engaging content, be on the lookout for:
  • Three customized tracks of study — with new tracks for emerging leaders and firm operations staff;
  • A free exhibit hall pass (no CPE credit);
  • Interactive roundtables you know and love;
  • Sponsor raffle prizes;
  • Interactive networking and entertainment, and
  • One-on-one meetings with solution providers.
I’m also really excited about the Women’s Leadership Summit! In our virtual setting, we will still capture what makes this summit so special, including honoring seven phenomenal Women to Watch Award winners, hearing directly from them in the interactive panel and learning from three dynamic keynote speakers. We will also interview some past winners to see what they are up to now. And, all attendees will get a surprise gift from TD Bank.

Plus, there’s more. Attendees at all our fall conferences will be sent the full conference recording, so you can access concurrent sessions you had to miss during the event and repeat session again, whenever you’d like!

We are so excited to bring these programs to you, and we’re always looking for ways to improve your virtual experience. Please feel free to contact me at apitter@mscpaonline.org with any feedback throughout the fall. Stay safe, and I hope more than anything that we can raise a glass together next spring.

Lastly, today, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who lost their lives on 9/11. I wish you all a safe and healthy weekend.
