CEO Corner

Dear Hannah,
It is hard to believe that July is here! With restrictions lifting and businesses starting to welcome staff back to their offices, I have taken some time to reflect on all that has happened since March 2020. It is incredible to think about how various industries had to pivot quickly at the start of the pandemic – which you can all attest to – and what we have learned over the last 16 months.
Small businesses were one of the groups hit hardest, and they will undoubtedly feel the effects for some time. My friend Jon Hurst, president of the Retailers Association, wrote this guest blog detailing how the retail industry had to adapt to survive the pandemic. It’s worth a read – check it out here.
You may have also noticed that The HUB has a new look! While it looks a bit different, many of the features and functionality remain the same. Head on over to hub.mscpaonline.org to see what’s new! Make sure to whitelist this email address so you continue to receive the daily digest emails: noreply@mscpaonline.org.
Please note that we are still experiencing a few technology glitches related to the software transition. If you have any issues or questions, please reach out to Kara Kieran at kkieran@mscpaonline.org. In the meantime, please take a minute to check out this new users guide.
Lastly, the Society’s office will be closed on Monday, July 5. I hope you all enjoy a wonderful and relaxing 4th
of July weekend!
