CEO Corner
|
Dear Hannah,
For many of us, the challenge of working from home during the pandemic isn’t technology; it’s dealing with all our new co-workers – many of whom need to be homeschooled, fed, entertained and prevented from destroying the house. This adds new difficulties and stress, but the MSCPA has your back as we navigate this new frontier. We are launching a new series of one-hour, virtual roundtable discussions called
CPAS: Caregiver Parent Alliance Support Group,
giving a safe place for members to connect with fellow caregivers and parents as we begin to think about what the fall will look like balancing the demands of home and work.
Our first meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, August 4 from 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 6 from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. We’re offering these outside of traditional business hours for these non-traditional circumstances! You can learn more here.
This new roundtable joins an ever-expanding list of discussion groups, including small firms, senior associates and Women’s Mentoring Circles. We are in the midst of finalizing our summer schedule for small firms, so stay tuned! In addition to The HUB, these peer-to-peer opportunities are quickly becoming one of our most popular member benefits!
We’ll soon expand this list with our new diversity and inclusion (D&I) roundtables. This will be an opportunity for firm and HR leaders, CFOs and other interested members to share concerns and best practices on creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace. These are virtual facilitated sessions led by members who are already implementing D&I strategies in the workplace. Details will be announced this fall, so stay tuned!
Finally, congratulations on winding down on the longest tax season in history. Though stressful, I hope it was successful, and you can breathe a sigh of relief next week – and enjoy some well-deserved R&R soon!
Have a great weekend!
Amy Pitter
