CEO Corner

Dear Hannah,
This is a very different start to our membership year. We know many of you are still heads down with an extended filing season and helping your companies or clients deal with the CARES Act to stay alive - and perhaps even thrive - during this difficult time. Given these added pressures, more of you are participating in our virtual learning and networking opportunities, and we're hearing that they're a valuable way for members to stay connected and up-to-date on the top issues facing accountants in
the Commonwealth.
With information changing by the minute, our committees are a great way for members to interact and stay informed on the latest developments. All our committee meetings are taking place online, and in the last month, we've seen more participation than ever before. If you've never joined a committee, now is the time to do it. Check out our full committee list and an upcoming schedule of meetings.
Our virtual small firm roundtables are also a popular resource for members from all locations, and next week we will host five online meetings for members in Woburn/Andover, Sturbridge/Pittsfield, Cape Cod/Islands, New Bedford and Westborough. To register for a specific location, click here and contact Jill Foley with any questions. There will also be a free virtual roundtable on May 29 that will facilitate peer to peer discussion among those in the senior role. They'll share best practices, challenges and tips to help navigate their next steps. For more information, click here.
Getting involved at the MSCPA is a great way to get ahead in your career and expand your network. I hope you'll join us on May 27 for a free 30-minute webinar on all the ways you can participate within the Society and maximize your membership. Click here for details and to register.
Have a wonderful weekend and a terrific Mother's Day to all the moms. My daughter is planning a special brunch for us – I can't wait!
Amy Pitter
MSCPA President/CEO
