CEO Corner

Dear Hannah,
Did you know that the MSCPA's busy season starts after the tax deadline? May and June are when we have the most networking events and conferences, and I'm excited to share two of our most popular programs that are coming up fast: the Annual Meeting & Networking Reception and our After Tax Bash in Boston and West Springfield!
This year's Annual Meeting & Networking Reception will be on May 8 at the Warrior Ice Area, the brand new, state-of-the-art training facility for the Boston Bruins. At this incredible location, you will network with peers and recognize our new Board of Directors, firm ambassadors and newly certified CPAs as you enjoy appetizers and cocktails. In addition to this incredible location, I'm particularly excited to share that Andrew Glincher of Nixon Peabody will be our keynote speaker! As managing partner and CEO, Andrew will explain how Nixon Peabody's
commitment to diversity has helped propel them to being one of the fastest growing law firms in the country. This will be a great way to kick off a new membership year as we claim it the MSCPA's Year of Diversity & Inclusion. To register for this special event, click here.
I'm also happy to announce that, due to its popularity last year, we will again host two After Tax Bash events! The Boston event will take place on April 25 at Shojo, a trendy spot to relax after a long tax season. For members in Western Mass, we'll be at Latitude in West Springfield on May 2. We're excited to toast to an end of another successful busy season and look forward to seeing you there!
As we move to a new membership year, I've spent a lot of time thinking about growth and change in the profession, and its impact on our members. I'm excited to share a recent article of mine that was recently published in the
Boston Business Journal
on the changing forces that are propelling growth in our profession, and how policy and lawmakers can modernize their approaches to education and regulation to remove some unnecessary headwinds. I hope you enjoy reading it and have a great weekend!
