has arrived!
CEO Corner

Dear Hannah,

A big congratulations to our members in public accounting for making it through tax season! I hope you can now enjoy some downtime to recharge for spring. The end of busy season also means that a new membership year is here. On Monday, April 22, we will email your dues notice for the 2019-20 membership year, so keep an eye on your inbox and check our website for details. If you have questions, please contact Amanda Curtis at acurtis@mscpaonline.org or call 617.556.4000.

Last year was a time of growth at the Society, and I hope each of you had a positive member experience. It was wonderful to see many new and familiar faces at our new regional roundtables, mentoring circles and networking events. If you attended one of our recent conferences, you may have also seen our new app which helps attendees navigate the day and get information on sessions and speakers from the palm of their hands. We appreciate your feedback on our new initiatives and look forward to developing more programs like this in the year ahead!

For those of you who didn't work with us directly, please know that we were working hard on behalf of the entire profession in Massachusetts. We pushed for the Board of Public Accountancy to become more responsive, resulting in an organizational change and a new team dedicated to serving the CPA community, that has drastically improved their responsiveness to calls and emails. We also placed a record number of articles promoting the CPA profession and showcasing members as experts and thought leaders. Last, but most importantly, we enhanced our efforts to build a diverse accounting pipeline; adding an Early College Academy in Haverhill, expanding our high school and college outreach initiatives and awarding a record number of scholarships for aspiring accounting students that will make their path in the profession a little easier.

While we've accomplished a lot over the 12 months, we have so much planned for you in the new membership year. I look forward to taking the journey together!

Lastly, I'd like to wish all who are celebrating this weekend a happy Passover and Easter!
