CEO Corner
|
Dear Hannah,
The silver lining to every tragedy is witnessing communities come together for the common good. This latest global health crisis is no different. We've been blown away by the support members have lent to each other and to the communities they serve.
Many of you are giving back to the community in a number of creative ways, and we'd love to highlight your efforts. I think we could all use some good news stories about now! Please take this brief, four-question poll so we can learn how you are (or planning to) give back during this crisis.
Also, we've put together a list of ways in which you can give back as an individual or as a firm. We will continue to update it as new opportunities become available.
As you all know, in the short-term the state is in dire need of medical supplies – masks, googles, gowns
and other materials that help keep our first responders and medical professionals safe. If you or clients have bulk supplies that you are interested in donating, please let us know and we can help facilitate the donation.
On the home front, we're enjoying some Zoom dinners and cocktails with family and friends – Wednesday night, I even had a Zoom Seder!
I hope you are all doing well and will be able to have a little fun over the weekend. Please know we are here for you, and feel free to reach out to me if we can help you during this time.

COVID-19 Impact on Peer Review
|
The MSCPA Peer Review Team recognizes the potential impact of travel restrictions and health concerns due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on upcoming peer review due dates. Our top priority during this time is the health, safety and welfare of firm personnel and peer reviewers. As such, we are operating with an abundance of caution and will consider all factors in advising firms and peer reviewers of the options available to them with regard to upcoming peer review deadlines. The AICPA sent
this notice to firms that had due dates prior to July 1, 2020. You can request an extension for your firm's peer review due date by following these instructions or if you have corrective actions or implementation plan due and need an extension please follow these instructions. Please contact Aury Sanchez or Beth Lyons if you have questions.
