CEO Corner

Dear Hannah,

As many of you are going heads-down into a busy season that is likely to be only slightly less chaotic than the last one, I want to assure you that the MSCPA is here for you.

As you work to keep your firm or company culture intact and help relieve stress, we can help through our annual fitness challenge. There is still time to register by emailing our fitness guru, Hannah Naranjo at hnaranjo@mscpaonline.org. She is here to help!

And remember, if you are hitting a brick wall with our friends at the Department of Revenue (DOR) this season, MSCPA Government Relations Manager Larry Liuzzo can step in to assist you. He has experience working with DOR on members’ behalf and would be happy to help. Email him at lliuzzo@mscpaonline.org.

Finally, between uncertainty around returning to work, not returning to work, Paid Family and Medical Leave issues and employee stress, don’t forget about the MSCPA HR Hotline. This service gives members who are in charge of making human resource (HR) decisions access to a 30-minute consultation with a seasoned HR professional. The consultation is free to members and 100% confidential.

Our consulting team is led by Laurie LaBrie, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, president of Integrated Human Resources, Inc. Laurie is one of our most popular speakers, and many of you know her from our Management of an Accounting Practice Conference. You can learn more about Laurie and the HR Hotline here. Here’s some feedback from MSCPA members:

“Laurie and her team quickly addressed my unemployment claim question that my client had. This is a great resource that the MSCPA is providing its members!”

“The service was excellent! My difficult COVID-19 questions were answered with solutions that made sense.”

Please don’t hesitate to give Laurie a call — she is your resource.

Have a great weekend!
