CEO Corner
|
Dear Hannah,
What a week! I've been visiting firms across the state to discuss trends in the profession and ways that we can better serve our members. One way we're trying to reach more of you is by making our programs and events more accessible to members throughout the Commonwealth (traffic, as we all know, is a nightmare for everyone). We recently expanded our regional roundtables to nine locations, and we've heard great feedback from members that you would like more opportunities to connect with local peers
to share ideas, challenges and build your network. Our roundtables are topic-based, so if you have any suggestions for topics you'd like us to cover, please reach out to Jill Foley at jfoley@mscpaonline.org.
We've also expanded our broadcast conferences, so you can virtually attend from the comfort of your home or offices. We are exploring the idea of offering broadcast centers, where a group of members would meet at a local spot and join the conference, but also could network, which is one of the greatest benefits of our live events. Stay tuned for updates as this develops!
In addition to visiting firms, I also met with our firm ambassadors yesterday. This is a wonderful group of intelligent, motivated and caring young professionals who are eager to help their firms make the most of their MSCPA memberships. I loved hearing their ideas for ways we can better serve you, and I'm excited for what lies ahead. To see a list of all firm ambassadors, please click here.
Lastly, thank you to
Anthony & Dodge
and
Schwartz & Schwartz
for inviting me into their offices this week. I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the staff and learning about their firms from
Sarah Willwerth-Dyer, CPA, Andrew Schwartz, CPA
and
Rick Schwartz, CPA.
I look forward to meeting with other firms in the weeks ahead! To book your firm visit, please contact Kara Kieran at kkieran@mscpaonline.org.
Lastly, to our members who are veterans: thank you for your service and sacrifice! Have a great weekend!
Amy Pitter
