CEO Corner
|
Dear Hannah,
CPA firms and companies
seeking to stem staff turnover and build
capacity in a disruptive world must provide an
avenue for staff and managers to learn and
practice leadership development, in addition to
technical training.
That is the message from
numerous studies and surveys by the accounting
profession, talent placement firms, academics
and other human resources experts. As a result,
the MSCPA developed our Emerging
Leaders Summit, which will be held on
Friday, November 16 in Boston. At this one-day
summit, attendees will learn how to become
leaders in their professional lives and how to
be catalysts for change in their organizations.
The agenda is jam-packed with incredible
speakers covering topics on networking,
communication and leadership skills, and
includes breakout sessions to help young
professionals explore ways to grow and elevate
their firms and companies.
This
conference is truly a can't-miss event for young
professionals. For employers, sending your staff
also sends a signal to them (and to your
candidates) that you value their development at
your firm or company. To register, view the
agenda and to see a list of who's coming, visit
our website. I look forward to seeing many
of you there!
Have a great
weekend!

Massachusetts
Taxpayer Behavior Impact
Survey The
MSCPA administers a periodic survey to gauge
current and anticipated taxpayer behavior to
help the Department of Revenue (DOR) predict
monthly revenue collections. Please
provide your input on client trends, as a
representative sample of all Massachusetts
taxpayers. This information will be critical in
allowing state officials to better understand
the current deficit and to project revenues
moving forward. It is important to note that no
specific member information will be used for
this report. This
poll will close on Tuesday, November 20 at 5:00
p.m. TAKE
