Your Weekly Member News
CEO Corner

Dear Hannah,

We know our members receive a lot of personal satisfaction from giving back to your communities, and the MSCPA works hard to support your efforts. Throughout the year, we have numerous ways you can get involved and share your expertise with your peers, students and the public.

One way you can give back this fall is by volunteering at our student member webinars! We are looking for members to share their stories with the next generation of CPAs, providing a great way for you to give back to future accountants as well as to highlight your firm or organization.

We are keenly aware that this year has been a tough road for many students, and this is just one way we are working to continue to invest in them and support their journey into the accounting profession. We are seeking volunteers for the following events:

Community College Event
Thursday, October 29 | 4:00 p.m.
Audience: Community college students
We are seeking CPAs who have attended a community college at some point in their academic career.

CPA Panel Webinar
Wednesday, November 11 | 4:00 p.m.
Audience: High school students
(This event will be pre-recorded without a live audience and shared as a resource.)
This is a panel discussion with manager/partner-level professionals interested in sharing their career journey with high school students to inspire them to pursue a career in accounting.

Young Professional Panel Webinar
Thursday, December 10 | 4:00 p.m.
Audience: High school students
(This event will be pre-recorded without a live audience and shared as a resource.)
We are seeking young professionals who want to share their career journey with high school students to inspire them to pursue a career in accounting.

If you are interested and available to volunteer for any of these opportunities, please email Erica DeBiase with your bio. We look forward to hearing from you!

We also know that you are committed to volunteering in your local communities. We are here to help with that as well. For a list of all available opportunities, click here. If you have volunteer opportunities at Massachusetts nonprofits to share, you can request to list a volunteer position at no charge on our website, and we will also include the opportunity in targeted newsletters to help you fill the position.

Lastly, the MSCPA office will be closed on Monday, October 12. Have a great weekend!
