has arrived!
CEO Corner

Dear Hannah,

Yesterday was one of the days I love most at the MSCPA. It was our Women's Leadership Summit, and over 250 people gathered in Boston to hear powerful presentations on being your authentic self in the workplace and strategies for prioritizing your work to-do list. I also had the opportunity to present our 2018 Women to Watch Awards to seven outstanding women in accounting. Congratulations to Angela Barcelos, CPA, Maura Hodge, CPA, Tracy LeMaire, CPA, MBA, Jessica Ackerman, CPA, Cheryl Burke, MBA, Janice O'Reilly, CPA, CGMA and Jane Steinmetz. You are real role models for other women in accounting and you're changing our profession for the better. Click here to read more about the winners.

Increasing the number of women in leadership positions is part of the MSCPA's diversity initiative, and a focus for us at the Society. While I look forward to the day when it's commonplace for women to be in leadership roles, celebrating the accomplishments of women is inspiring for all of us. Not only is each award winner excelling in her firm or company, but all give back to their communities and many have started and/or are leading thriving practices within their organizations. All boats rise with the tide and being surrounded by this incredible group left me feeling motivated and proud to be in this profession.

I'd also like to thank our sponsors AON, Deloitte, DGC, KPMG, Innovative Promotional Concepts, the MFA Companies, Robert Half, TD Bank and UBS for making this event possible.

Have a great weekend!
