Dear Hannah,
I’m thrilled to announce that the MSCPA has partnered with PwC for an important conversation about the need for diversity in the workplace – and how it benefits businesses. The discussion will take place on October 10 and is part of HUBweek, Boston’s popular festival for the future that unites leaders from the top business sectors in Boston.
Diversity is a challenge for many industries – financial services, technology, biotech, etc. – yet with a 38% increase in minority-owned businesses since 2007, progress in this area is critical for these industries to remain profitable. Our introspective panel will cover unconscious bias in the hiring process, best practices for a diverse workplace, the role diversity plays in venture capital funding, filling the pipeline of future workers and the business benefits of increased diversity.
Joining me on the panel are Herby Duverné (principal and CEO of Taino Consulting Group, LLC) and Femi Wasserman (founder and principal at Femi Wasserman LLC). The discussion will be moderated by Marcela García, editorial writer at The Boston Globe.
Registration for this important event is free. For more information, visit mscpaonline.org/hubweek. I hope to see you there!
