Dear Hannah,
As summer winds down, we are back in full swing at the Society and armed with everything you need to stay
up-to-date this fall -- from technical issues and legislative updates, to networking events and CPE training.
While our opportunities to learn and engage are bountiful, we don't want to clog
your inbox. That's why we're focused on sending you only the information you need and want. To make that happen, you need to tell us what issues
matter to you. By updating your member profile, we can make sure
that you receive updates and opportunities on topics that will help you learn and grow in your career. As an added perk, by completing your profile,
you'll receive a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card!
Enjoy the last few weeks of summer, and I look forward to seeing you at our fall events! Amy A. Pitter President &

Final
Massachusetts Budget Shaved Cash from Projections Faced with poor revenue collections in the second half of the last fiscal year, state budget writers and finance officials
lowered the tax revenue estimate for fiscal year 2017 by $629 million before enacting the fiscal 2017 budget. Tax collections over the second half of
fiscal 2016 continually fell shy of benchmarks, creating uncertainty as the administration and Legislature developed a budget for fiscal 2017.
