Dear
Hannah,
Many of you are familiar
with our “Real Experts, Real Results” social media
campaign that ran during tax season. We were thrilled by the responses from our members and the number of views our videos received, so we will be
building on that campaign this fall – stay tuned! But that is not all that’s going on in the media: In the first six months of this year
we’ve had 36 stories – almost 20% more than this time last year. We also expanded our presence on TV, with four segments on NECN during
tax season by board members and rising media superstars Katie Seekell and Mark Nichols. We plan to expand upon that relationship next tax season and
add more topics as well. Less visible, but in some ways more important in terms of our presence on the hill, we’ve gotten significant attention
from the State House News Service. By building our presence in the news media, the Society and our members have more influence in the business and
accounting communities.
I hope you all have a
fun and relaxing fourth with friends and family – and there are fireworks in the mix somewhere!
