CEO CORNER
Dear
Hannah,
Last night was our Annual Meeting and Networking Reception, and I have to take a moment to reflect on how fabulous this event was. One hundred
and fifty of our members, Board members and sponsors turned out in full force to support the Society with their presence, and enjoyed the stunning
views from the UMass Club, networking with friends and colleagues and a fascinating presentation by Red Sox CFO Tim Zue.
We also recognized Board Chairman Carla McCall, CPA, CGMA for
her service, and welcomed George Neble, CPA as our new Chairman. George is currently the OMP of EY, and he’s already made huge
contributions to the Society with his ideas and energy. I’m excited to work with him and serve under his leadership in the year ahead!
In addition to George, we also welcomed Board officers
Mark Nichols, CPA, MBA, MST (chairman-elect), Doug Fiebelkorn, CPA, JD (vice chairman), John
Micalizzi (vice chairman), and directors Karen McElroy, CPA, Francisco Oliveira, CPA, Jim Powers, CPA and Kate
Seekell, CPA, MST. On behalf of the Society, I’m looking forward to another great year serving you with this outstanding leadership
team. Have a great weekend!
