Dear Hannah,

It may not look like it now, but busy season will soon be over and spring will be here! At the MSCPA, we’re kicking off the new season with our Annual Meeting and Networking Reception, and I’m thrilled to announce that our speaker will be Jay Wessland, the CTO and VP of the Boston Celtics! Jay will share his thoughts on how technology has changed the sports industry, and its impact on the Celtics’ business strategy and operations.

I’m also delighted to announce that we recently hired a new member engagement manager, Jill Foley. In her new role, Jill will oversee our committee process, plan networking roundtables and overall, enhance your member experience. She spent a number of years as a recruiter at AAFCPAs, and her experience working in the profession will be key as we develop new ways for you to learn, connect and prosper in accounting. We’re thrilled to have her on our team!

Young Professional After Tax Season Bash (4/25)

Celebrate the end of tax season at the MSCPA's Young Professional After Tax Season Bash on Wednesday, April 25 at Hopsters in the Seaport. The upstairs beer hall has been reserved. Ticket include appetizers and two drink tickets. Register now as spots are limited!

After Tax Season Bash: Western MA (4/26)

Celebrate the end of tax season at the MSCPA's Annual After Tax Season Bash on Thursday April 26 at Latitude in West Springfield. Tickets include appetizers and two drink tickets. Pre-register by Friday, April 20.

This is a MEMBERS-ONLY event. Student members must be affiliated with a public accounting firm and be over 21 years old to attend.

Professional Issues Update (5/10)

Young Professional Networking with the FPA, BEPC, and the Trusts and Estates Consortium (6/5)

The MSCPA has teamed up with the Financial Planning Association NexGen group, the Boston Estate Planning Council and the Trusts and Estates Consortium groups to host its second annual inter-organizational networking event for members under the age of 40. This is a great chance to meet some of Boston's best up and coming CPAs, estate planning attorneys, financial planners and other experts.
