Dear Hannah,
I recently met Kibrom, an accounting student at UMass Dartmouth and refugee from Eritrea. He’s wanted to be a CPA since he was a child and left his country in 2011 – risking being killed if he was caught crossing the border – just to pursue his dream. Kibrom has a fascinating story (read it here) and he received the MSCPA/NABA Scholarship in April. I’m thrilled we can help him get one step closer to becoming a CPA, but there are many other students like Kibrom who also need our help.
That’s why our goal is to reach $1,000,000 in scholarships for the Educational Foundation by February 1, 2018. Having awarded $894,050 to students since 2006, we are close to achieving this goal, but we need your help. Would you be willing to make a special year-end donation to help students across the Commonwealth continue their accounting education?
Your support will make a real, lasting impact on both the lives of these students, and the profession. Please click here to make your donation now.
Thank you for your continued support, and on behalf of the MSCPA, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. We’re thankful for you!
Amy Pitter
MSCPA President/CEO
Please note: The MSCPA office will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24. The next issue of Friday@Five will arrive on Friday, December 1. |
