Dear
Elizabeth, In my Society travels, I often meet CPAs who wish to strengthen their practices,
but they lack the crucial information that allows them to see where they stand in relation to their peers. Luckily, this meaningful data can be found
in the recently-released results of the 2014 National MAP
Survey, the profession’s premier benchmarking study. Firms use the results in a variety of ways, including helping predict future growth,
determining succession plans and comparing their progress against firms of similar sizes and within their geographic locations.
Next week, at the MSCPA’s New England Practice Management Conference, Cheryl Burke, partner
and COO of DiCicco, Gulman & Company LLP, will cover the Massachusetts results in great detail. Burke will lead a discussion about the process and
history of the survey, national MAP trends, benchmarks and regional statistics for your market. The MAP survey is one of many relevant topics that
will be covered at the conference. Come join us to share best practices, network and gain the knowledge necessary to succeed beyond 2014.
In other news, the MSCPA is sponsoring the NE State and Local Tax Forum on Wednesday, November 19th at the
Boston Marriott Newton. This conference features the “who’s who” of thought leaders on state and local tax issues in New England,
and it’s a great way to stay current on tax policy issues.
