Your Weekly MassCPAs
Member News
|
|
|
|
|
How likely are you to
recommend MassCPAs membership to a friend or colleague? That
was the one question we asked members in a recent survey to
determine our Net Promoter Score (NPS). NPS is a key
performance indicator many firms, companies and nonprofits use
as a high-level way of gauging whether they are “delighting”
their customers, clients and members.
We scored a 38.4, which is above the average for membership
organizations in general, and especially for state CPA
societies. This score is also an increase from our 2020 NPS
score of 26. Our team works to help our members in so many ways
– for example, customized
and free CPE, committees
and roundtables, The
HUB, SumNews and
our newsletters, advocacy (see my
recent opinion piece in Bloomberg
Tax), building
a pipeline of high school and college students so our
profession will thrive and helping
our members navigate the sometimes rocky interactions with
the Board and DOR – so it was gratifying to see the
results of the survey. We take these results seriously and are
using them as we plan for our fall programs, including our conferences
and networking
events.
We intend to do the survey every six months, so we can keep a
pulse on how we are doing – and don’t be surprised to see
follow up surveys where we dive in a little on the “why” so we
can better understand what we are doing well, and where we could
do better.
Thank you to everyone who took time out of your busy schedules
to answer the survey. MassCPAs is your local, professional
home, and this information helps us make sure we are there for
you in ways that matter.

All CPAs – Share Your “Why”
As part
of MassCPAs' efforts to attract the next generation of CPAs to
the profession, we are seeking members to share their
"why" - why you became a CPA and why you remain one.
We are looking to highlight the career and personal benefits
that only come with having this designation. Please take this one-question survey to tell
us your “why.” We will share responses with high school and
college students, and feature them on our social media,
throughout the fall.
